• The number one reason affiliate marketing works well for me is because I positioned myself as a community resource.
• Because I'm positioned as a community resource, people come to me for things. "Maegan, what platforms you use for invoicing?"
• Being a community resource means you're going to share links even if you're not getting paid to.
• People will come back and say, "hey, you mentioned [some thing], do you have an affiliate link for that?"
• I'm very explicit. It's an affiliate link, I thank them in advance for using it.
  • There's no shame about it. If I put you onto something, why not use my link?
• Positioning yourself as a community resource with boundaries takes affiliate marketing to a whole different level.
